Vital Sign Monitoring

Four core readings — heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and respiratory rate — tracked on a consistent schedule so changes are caught while they are still easy to manage.

Vital Signs Overview

The four signals we track at every visit.

Heart Rate

Typical resting range: 60–100 bpm for most healthy adults.

Blood Pressure

Target range around 120/80 mmHg, checked at every visit.

Temperature

Normal average is close to 98.6°F, with small daily variation.

Respiratory Rate

Usually 12–20 breaths per minute at rest for adults.

Heart Rate Monitoring

A steady rhythm is one of the clearest signs of cardiovascular health.

We record resting and active heart rate at every appointment and compare it against your personal history rather than a single generic range. Sudden shifts — not just high or low numbers — are often the more useful signal.

What We Watch For

Healthcare worker checking a patient's blood pressure with a digital monitor

Blood Pressure

The single most common early warning sign in preventive care.

Blood pressure is measured as two numbers — systolic over diastolic — and tracked over time rather than judged from one reading. Consistent elevation is one of the earliest signals of cardiovascular strain, and one of the most manageable when caught early.

Normal

Healthy blood pressure range.

Systolic

<120

Diastolic

<80

Elevated

Monitor regularly and improve lifestyle.

Stage 2

Medical evaluation is recommended.

Temperature

A simple reading with an outsized amount of information.

Body temperature is a fast, reliable marker of infection, inflammation and immune response. We record it at every visit and note your personal baseline, since normal ranges vary slightly from person to person.

Respiratory Rate

Breathing patterns quietly reflect the health of the heart and lungs together.

We count breaths per minute at rest as part of every monitoring cycle. Sustained changes, especially alongside shifts in heart rate, prompt a closer look at cardiovascular and respiratory function.
